Happy Friday!

This has been a great running week for me so far. I have just felt so peppy and motivated and really enjoyed running. Not to mention that I actually feel quite fit and my runs have been a bit faster than normal. For the rest of the week, I have five miles planned this afternoon, Saturday is my off day and then on Sunday I have a long run of 17 miles on the schedule. That would bring me to a total of 46 miles, the most of I’ve run in a week so far this training schedule. And probably several years to be perfectly honest. I used to average around 40-50 miles/week back in college, but that was a good 4 or 5 years ago.

I think this week’s long run is going to go much better than last week’s, although I’m not sure yet where I’m going to run. The longest running loop that I have in town is 10 miles, so I could do that, plus a shorter 7 mile loop – or I could try to stretch out the 10 mile loop by adding some different roads that I haven’t run on before. Decisions, decisions.  I’m still undecided about my fuel belt too. I like having the water with me while I’m running, but I hate wearing it!

Sleep has unfortunately been a problem this week. I have a hard time falling asleep and then I wake up over and over and over again through the night, tossing and turning and I just cannot seem to get comfortable. Add to that mix a bunch of cats draped all over me or randomly deciding that 3:30am is loud purr and cuddle time, certainly isn’t helping. But, I’ll get through it, even if it means kicking the cats out of the bedroom. And in the mean time, there’s always coffee.

Well, that’s all I’ve got… But there are some exciting things coming in the mail for me that I want to post about soon.
